Eastridge Woods is a long distance walking route covering over 200 miles of beautiful Shropshire countryside. Visitors can enjoy this route on foot, on horseback, or by bike, often breaking it into smaller sections. The woods are located next to the village of Snailbeach, about 9 miles from Shrewsbury.
The horse riding trail makes use of the forest roads, circling the perimeter of the woodland.
It is a popular bike trail offering a range of routes for the more experienced rider. The black trail (severe) and the red trail (difficult) features tough climbs, natural drops, rocks and very steep descents. The cycle route starts from Snailbeach but you could also start from the car park on the eastern side of the woods.
To continue your mountain biking in Shropshire head to Hopton Woods, which offers more black graded trails and a blue graded moderate route on nice wide paths for the less experienced rider.
For walkers, head to Bury Ditches for more great views.
