Every year we come together for the Round and About Walk.
The whole Ramble starts and ends at the Church Barn, Church Lane, Bishop’s Castle, SY9 5FD. It is described against the 7 maps provided. The Scramble takes you, via hills and valleys, through the first four maps (13 miles). The Amble, which follows the last three maps (10 miles), is a bit gentler. We indicate the distance and ascent covered by each map, to help in your planning.
New for 2025 We have four individual shorter circuits. All of them incorporate part of the main route before breaking away to take you back to where you started in a lovely, scenic circuit. All 4 have maps and guidance, will be arrowed for the fortnight, and are included in the cost of joining the Round and About Walks 2025. Ranging between 3 and 5 miles in length, you can walk one, two or all of them!
It’s all about enjoying the walk, taking in the scenery and raising funds for Blood Cancer UK and The Community College Bishop’s Castle.
They take place over a two week period so that you can cover as much or as little as you choose in your preferred timescale.
