Just two miles from Offa’s Dyke, and within easy reach of Mitchell’s Fold Stone Circle, these small border villages feature many timber framed homes and the remains of what was once an ancient priory and church. Dating back as far as 915, Chribury’s name translates as “the fort with a church”. Chirbury is also the seat of the Earl of Powis, Lord Herbert of Cherbury.
