Positioned along the River Teme, this thriving town has much to offer to visitors. The only town to lie on the line of Offa’s Dyke and the Welsh Border, Knighton is set in the Welsh Marches. It is home to the Offa’s Dyke Centre and stands as the midpoint of the Offa’s Dyke National Trail. The area retains much of its medieval origins with narrow winding streets and there’s a town trail which guides you through the area’s rich history, including a section of Offa’s Dyke and ‘Bryn y Castell’ – one of two Norman castle mounds in Knighton.
