One of the best preserved medieval fortified manor houses in the country.
See the views from the gable windows of the Great Hall or explore the North Tower with its original medieval tiled floor. Stokesay Castle is an excellent example of a fortified manor house constructed at the end of the 13th century by Lawrence of Ludlow, at the time, one of the richest men in England.
After exploring the castle and walled gardens, enjoy a bite to eat in the tearoom which offers a wide selection of sandwiches, light bites and cakes.
They run regular events throughout the year and are home to a heritage shop.
